thanks

I know I said that some Holga pics would be next...sorry they'll be the real next post. I wanted instead to just send a thanks out to the couples that let me share in their big day last year and photograph their weddings, their families, their tears, their dresses, their kisses, their new spouses, and document such an important day. It is what I love to do and I want to thank you for allowing me to be such an intimate part of your day. Also I see that my little blog here has surpassed ten thousand views. wow. That's crazy. Thanks to all of you that visit and re-visit. I'm looking forward to this year, hope to see you soon.

coke tower

Among the dozens of pictures I took of Times Square, this one I loved because of the color and the angle and the interesting composition. I took a panoramic photo of the intersection but it is so wide that this blog won't support the format and you still be able to see anything. What I really want to do is print a few panoramic views I shot while in New York and put them in my house-but where? Anyway, I hope everyone's not too tired of my New York shots-I've still got plenty to post. Up next: Holga NY!

snow globes

On the way up to see the view from the empire state building there are these little snow globe window displays inside the atrium. I photographed them for a little photo montage much like what I put together for this blog. Cool.

village view

After finishing off the best pizza on Manhattan island we crossed Bleaker Street to eat the best cannolis you'll ever eat in your life. This was the sky that day, 'round five in the evening...

street creatures

Four of these "mail men" were just hanging out on the street. Rather quiet they were, but creepy. They just stood and stared, never moving, always watching, never blinked or made a sound. Every now and again someone would walk up to them and insert things into the back of their head. Creepy.

ol' flatiron

Yes everyone it is the Flatiron Building! The second most popular and photographed building in Manhattan! Sorry you have to see it again here, but I did photograph it and am proud I did so! More creative photos to follow...

atlas

This photo of Atlas taken at Rockefeller center took me by surprise. The mixture of orange, blue, and white lights came together to make quite a dramatic photograph.

new york city

So, I'm back with a whole new crop of photos from my honeymoon to New York City! And yes, what follows are very touristy photos of the things one photographs whilst vacationing in New York City, but lets all keep an open mind and enjoy ourselves, shall we? Anyway, I figured the best way to start of this little series of photos is with Liberty herself: iconic and unmistakable. We visited her on a very cold day in January actually near the end of our trip, but the first time I saw her was on the plane right before we landed. There she stood to greet us and although I'm not too sentimental, I have to say it was amazing to actually meet her in person.
