virginia and john-teaser

A sneak peak at my cousin's wedding! Still getting some film processed so I don't want to reveal too much, so here's just a couple. More to come!

keyhole

Second try: I photographed this door before, it's hanging up at the studio and it gets photographed all the time. Now usually it's just a prop or in the background, but today it gets it's moment in the spotlight as it's own original art piece. The first go round my film (you heard right) was under exposed due to operator error and his light meter. But this time, I got the shot I was looking for. And what is it with me and old stuff! I really need to get a new vision. More to come...

my pet kid

Took this picture on the highway (probably not the best idea, but I couldn't miss this picture) coming home from Art on the Square, at Southlake. Windows down, beautiful sky, hot sun, hard wind... If I wasn't driving I would of been doing the same thing, hanging my head out the window and just a smiling.

ash

I've been more busy lately in front of the computer than behind the camera, but that's not to say I ever really stop taking pictures. Here's a shot I stole of Ashley as she fell asleep on the couch. Her eyes opened after I took the shot, then closed again. The following morning she said she hadn't seen a thing.

my obsession

I read recently in Rangefinder Magazine, "...anyone shooting film today must either have an obsession with the past or some particular technical reason for using film." I am more the former than the latter, having an obsession with the medium and using it for a lot of my fine art work these days. Which is the explanation for why I haven't posted much lately. I've been working with a Mamiya RZ and shooting 120 film for a personal project entitled "12". Anyway, so sorry for the lack of new material. To bide your time, I'm posting a promo shot Josh is using for his upcoming show at the Rose Marine theater. More to come...
