domain
So, these images (this one and the books on an earlier post) come from Domain, an interior design store off 7th street. I'd go check it out if I were you. The store is amazing! The things inside the store is amazing! The designs and displays are amazing! The staff are amazing! Anyway, go there. Now. Go now. Bye.
dakota's steakhouse
Underneath the streets in Dallas exists Dakota's steakhouse, an elevator shaft in the middle of the street leads down into this exquisite hideaway for dining and drinking. Monet celebrated her 40th birthday there recently as well as her and her husband's 11th anniversary. Happy b-day and anniversary to them! Here are a few stills taken at the restaurant before they arrived. Decor compliments of Monet herself.

i shoot film!
Hey all my devotees, sorry, no pic today because I've been shooting a lot of stuff with film lately. Yeah, you remember. Small, cylinder-like. Very sensitive to light. Produced see-through things called negatives, you really couldn't see the pictures until you got them developed. Remember that word: developed? Oh, those were the days. Anyway, enough nostalgia for one evening. Good night all!

everyday fine art
I work within the public school system. Everyday. High schools, junior highs, middle schools, elementary schools, private schools, catholic schools, school kabobs, school gumbo, grilled school...anyway, I'm inside schools all day. And sometimes, things just look cool. I'm a big fan of old auditoriums: the old wooden chairs with the flip up seats, the layout and shape of the room, everything. So here's some found fine art discovered in the mediocrity of everyday.
