I'm not quite sure what role he played during the renaissance, but frankly, I don't really need to know. Just don't make any sudden moves. I think he was yelling, "FREEDOM!"
The Fall Fairy, as I refer to her, with her rich reds and golds was perched just outside the amphitheater. I was passing by when I noticed her and asked for a photo. She humbly posed.
He introduced himself, asked to be my friend, had me spin his propeller hat, and called my camera a "click box!". Welcome to the norm of the Renaissance festival.
So, the next few posts will be centered around a recent trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival-please check back, you're in for a treat. This is my cousin's most favorite picture ever!
I know I've been absent for a while now, but my computer's been sitting in the garage while my home undergoes a slow but steady remodel. But, finally, I'm online again and what a way to start than with Shelly and Brad's wedding. It was beautiful. Congrats you two!
So, here are some...um, engagements from last Sunday. Taking these pictures was the way I was able to set up the actual proposal. So, she didn't realize these were 'engagments' until later. But, sorry for the delay, here are a few of my favorites.
So, it's been a bit of a busy week. The news channels all had the DFW area in an uproar over Ike effecting our weather and all these "heavy winds and rain". Well, nothing ever came of it in our area, though let it be known that my heart goes out to those who were effected by the storm... On a lighter note (and the reason for this post) I proposed to Ashley this past Sunday. The photographs from that day are still being edited, but who wants to see the ring!?! Marty Kneeland of Vinosus Jewelry really came through and custom made an incredible engagement ring! We first met him and his wife at the Main Street Arts Festival in downtown Fort Worth last spring and fell in love with his work. The ring is just beautiful, and I really want to thank him for all his time, talent, and effort. I couldn't be more pleased!! If you want to see more of his jewelry, please check him out at www.vinosus.com.
I always get pics of the boys when I visit home in Louisiana. I don't know what inspires me: the surroundings, the atmosphere, the coffee, the country, what...? But I always get pics of 'em. So, here are the latest. Man, they're getting big!!
