new orleans (cont'd)

I took the fish eye camera with me everywhere, but most of the photos were a bit underexposed due to cloudy weather during our stay. But what did come out, looked great! Here's another of my favorites...

water meter

Couple things: First thing is how cool is this photogragh? Very cool. Why? Because it was taken with a lomo-fisheye camera that my awesome wife bought for me for our wedding day. Second thing is the photograph is of a new orleans water meter cover. They don't make these anymore and they are one hot comodity; making replicas of these covers for earrings, necklaces, rings, and other jewelry. So, to preserve a little New Orleans history, I took this photo.

nawlins

So, I'm going to fast forward a little bit and skip some of the wedding pics for now, but don't worry, I'll come back to them. Right after we got married, we descended upon New Orleans for the weekend. The next few posts will be the sights and scenes of our beloved New Orleans. Nothing beats photos of graffiti. And nothing beats the nostalgia of the cassette tape. I remember it like it was only yesterday-I was making a mix tape of "you can't touch this" and "don't worry be happy". So, what beats that? Cassette graffiti... You only thought you knew...

It's a New Year!

Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. Happy New Year. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season. So, where have I been? Well, first and foremost I got married on December 13th, and spent the following weekend celebrating in New Orleans. Soon Christmas came and I spent the holiday season at home with my new family and our extended families. Then came our official honeymoon which was spent in New York. So, for all those who follow my blog and have been waiting impatiently for new posts-brace yourselves-because I've got a lot to share. The holidays have been amazing for me and I can't wait to sift through my huge library of pictures to document it all and share it with you. So, without further ado, here's my first image: taken on December 11th in Louisiana, just two days before my wedding. I grew up in Louisiana and for my entire twenty nine years I had never seen snow like this day. It was beautiful.

shower

Even though it rained on the day of our shower, it didn't dampen anyone. I love all the detail that went into it, the cake was beautiful, the food was great, thank you-so, so much- to everyone that was involved!

shannon and jennifer

Jennifer wanted to surprise her girlfriend Shannon with an evening spent with yours truly and my lovely assistant for some wonderful and amazing photos of them living it up down town. And even though Shannon guessed what her surprise was before I could coax out their cheesy smiles I'd say all in all we had a pretty good time. I hope you love your pics!
This last photo I couldn't resist posting...I love Shannon's expression here. Greatness!

stephanie and austin

So sorry for the lack of posts here lately everyone, but my internet hasn't been working correctly for the past couple of weeks. Tonight seems to be an exception, so I'm seizing the opportunity to update my blog and try to get some things online.

Okay, I won't make you wait any longer: Congratulations to Stephanie and Austin, a great looking couple and friends of mine (you made the blog!!). They finally got married this past November the 8th, yay! Here are some of my favs...

trick or treat

As we all try to finish off that bag of candy just sitting in the pantry, I thought I'd go ahead and post pics of the boys in their costumes. I hope everyone had a happy Halloween.

Their expressions here are priceless.

Scary faces!!
